Led light for indoor growing

The role of light in plant growth.

How do we measure light for plants?
PAR photosynthetically active radiation
Spectral range (wave band) of solar radiation from 400 to 700 nanometers that plants are able to use in the chemical process of photosynthesis. PAR’s irradiance is measured in energy units W/m2.
PPFD photosynthetic photon flux density
Chemical reactions of photosynthesis depend closely on the amount of photons (in the 400-700 nm range) received by a surface for a specified amount of time. PPFD is measured using μmol m−2s−1..
VEGETATIVE PHASE 400 – 520 nanometers
This range includes blue light in order to prompt the plant’s vegetative phase during which chlorophyll absorbs energy from light, impacting photosynthesis and stimulating plant growth and leaf production.
FLO WERING PHASE 610 – 700 nanometers
This range includes red light and is the peak period of light absorption, affecting the process of blooming and flowering, leading to fruit.
