New horticulture lights. LEDs that improve productivity and resource efficiency
Introduction to LED technology for horticulture, with in-depth examination of the evolutionary synergy between artificial lighting and soilless cultivation systems that aims to boost the efficiency of resource use (energy, water and nutrients) and improve food productivity in both quantitative and qualitative terms in controlled environments.
Conclusions with six case studies, of which three in indoor facilities (vertical farming, seed breeding, micropropagation) and three in greenhouses (Top-Light for aeroponic aromatic plant cultivation, Inter-Light and Top-Light for tomatoes and nurseries)..
