If you have the chance to watch Masterchef Italia, the world’s best-known culinary talent show, this year you’ll also see the Cefla Grow Unit, which incorporates a lighting and irrigation system designed by us!
The lamps used in the Cefla Grow Unit are made by us, with light spectra specifically designed for each type of plant, and thanks to a ventilation system for temperature and humidity control, managed by dedicated software, these small plants can grow the whole year round, in any environment.
The Grow Unit is an indoor system for growing microgreens using plant irrigation and lighting, born from Cefla C-LED know-how, in collaboration with university research. It provides a true indoor corner of nature, where you can harvest various fresh vegetables from microgreens to medicinal plants
This year, the Masterchef contestants will have a choice of fresh microgreens in the pantry from the Grow Unit, which was created through our efforts and research and offers the possibility of extremely tasty, fresh food at 0cm!
Thus, the new aspiring chefs will be able add intense flavour to their dishes thanks to the use of microgreens, with their distinct organoleptic properties and up to 40 times more nutrients and vitamins than normal vegetables.
